Guys just joined from OZ! Want to put either a Scorpion or Moto GP exhaust from UK on my FZ6R. They are too expensive to buy here! Need some advice, I presume fitting either of these means there will be no "heat shields" used. How is this going to effect my comfort of riding in Summer, the seat gets pretty hot already riding distances in Summer? Remember I am riding in OZ! Not -12 deg as currently in London. Any comments, any advice at all would be very welcome guys?
Cheers
Bob

I see you ride a FZ6R. It does not have an underseat exhaust am I right? so that will not have any effect.

I however you have the FZ6 then I would say that aftermarket pipes make little or no difference to heat. The heat shields that are present on a stock FZ6 remain in place when adding aftermarket pipes, as the shields consist of a sticky foil thing as opposed to actual metal plates.

Try buying 2nd hand pipes online....
