If you read the "new purchase" thread you will see I have been outfitting my FZ6 for touring (bags, ce bailey tall shield, Corbin seat). The plan was to take the time I have between jobs and head to NC to ride with a buddy. I had the bike loaded and ready to go when I learned it was supposed to rain all week. Damn!
I typically do not make quick decisions, but sometimes you just have to say WTF. I booked a flight to Phoenix Saturday and reserved a BMW 1200GS for a few days. I am more than stoked. I lived in AZ for ten years and have not been back in a decade. It will be great to see some old friends and ride in the mountains and high desert. Game plan is to head north through a load of small towns and kind of wing it. I will likely end up at The Grand Canyon.
