Cat Eliminator Pipe

Hey Slow, did you disconnect your battery and then reconnect it after you installed the pipe? If not try it, it may help as it will reset your computer. When you reconnect it the computer will readjust. Its worth a try.

Anyone have info on how much horsepower will be achieved by replacing the stock cat with a cat eliminator pipe?

Congratulations on your weight loss, well done! That alone is worth about 5 hp!

When I put my Leo Vince exhaust on my bike I got a idle surge, turned up the idle and it got better. It still surges a little bit, about when the bike gets to 120*F or so, but then as soon as I start riding and it gets good heat in it the surge goes away. I am going to try a couple things and have it dyno tuned and see if that will help. BTW, no idle surge with the db killers installed.

Same thing happened to me when I installed my Leo's, even though I disconnected the battery. The idle dropped to around 1000rpm. A quick idle screw adjustment though, and it fixed it. As for horsepower numbers, I have no idea. BTW, I also added a K&N filter at the same time. MATT

BMX9000 have an 06 with the cat eliminated, - as I understood it if was done by the dealer who sold the bike in the first place.
He had no idle problems when we rode last Friday.

Resetting the ECU on an 04-06 will do little to nothing.
There's no O2 sensor or way for the computer to "learn".

What you really need to do is disable the AIS system, and sync your throttle bodies. That should solve all problems with installing the cat elim pipe.

I have a new 08', and I just put the Arrow eliminator pipe on, and my idle
didn't change at all. I also put on a PC III and am trying maps, but need
to get it on a dyno. The bike runs fine though. Great, in fact. I'm up to about 500 miles on the odometer now.
