Hello,

I have a problem with my fz6 N s2 ABS from 2008...
The rear ABS is working fine, but the front one does not engage.

It did not pass the expert control and cannot ride untill it's fixed.

-With my mechanic we changed ABS control unit, hydraulic pump and front sensor.

-No ABS lights on dash and no errors present.

-Sensor gap has been measured and continuities tested.

Do you have any idea where the problem is now? We're loosing our minds over this.

Best regards and ride safe!

What is the history of the bike? Did the front ABS work before?
You mentioned the front sensor, but not the sensor rotor. Has it been looked at?

I have the bike for 4 years now.
Never had to use front ABS even for emergency stops but never blocked the wheel neither to try it.
The rear one yes, it worked and still works on emergency stops.

The mechanic says he has inspected the tone ring and the tone ring cover to see if it's warped but he claims it's OK.

I'm wondering if it is possible to send the signal from the front sensor and sensor rotor to the rear section of the ABS unit, just for test purposes.

I don't believe that's possible since the tone rings are different sizes and are interpreted differently by the ECU.
