Question FZ6 Wont start after accident

Was this bike bought as a wreck? And the gauge cluster was not connected to anything when you got it?
it was bought accident damage for £100 ($136), the bike was complete apart from the cluster and headlights missing, well the cluster was there just in a million pieces

Does this loom look like it has the headlight/speedo part? I think it does but the seller says no, pretty sure I can see all the plugs in @Gary in NJ pics

He mentions one of the headlight connectors has been cut and re-attached, so it's funny he would say that it does not include the headlight/speedo part. :)
Agree with Gary, should be all there.

What website? I've tried a few and none have an option for inputting the vin
Odd, I'm sure they used to have a feature that would let you do it.

There are other VIN decoder websites out there, just watch out for the ones that want to charge you for a free service!

Yeah I've tried a few, most only offer the most basic information.............. Like it's a 600cc yamaha......... Yeah I know that 😂

So to update, the loom came today, so when the add said the headlight connectors were cut and joined, I wrongly thought he meant the plug for the headlight and/or indicator but what he actually meant was 1 of the plugs that's need to be removed to remove the headlight loom has been soldered together making it impossible to remove without cutting the joins, so I basically have 2 options from here

1, Cut the new loom and my original loom and solder the 9wires together (I can solder so not an issue)

2, try and find a headlight loom

This was bought as a little project so it's not time critical, I'd prefer not to spend anymore on it though but I also don't want to be chopping a perfectly good loom incase I break the bike later.

So for now I'll try and find a headlight loom, maybe give it a few weeks see if I can get 1 at a decent price, if not, I might just bit the bullet and chop/join both looms together.

Rather than cut and solder, you could also find the correct connector and simply return to OEM. I have a website saved somewhere that is a source for OEM pins and connectors…it might be possible that Scott originally posted it…but let me look when I have time.
