High sided my 1997 TL1000s. That really sucked and made for a long ride home.

One morning on the way to work.

3 car pile up on the other side of the tunnel. Some genius decided to put a bend is said tunnel so all those entering had no idea as they pushed along downhill at 90km/ph.

I was on the gpx250 and emergency braked hard. Was happy to have enough space to stop then got a sudden boost. Picked a spot in the cars bumper in front and braced myself.

Next thing i know I am rolling away from traffic to the side of the tunnel and layed there in the corner and waited for the noise to stop.

6 cars piled in behind us. Bike was a repairable write off and after the ambos asked me if i was ok I got back on the bike and went to work...

Work sent me home to see a doctor so I then rode to the doctors surgery (without righthand side peg and missing big pieces of fairings). Then the adrenalin started to die off and I had some back soreness. Doctor thought I had a crushed disc and some broken ribs. But no...xrays didnt show anything.

I was crushed to know my bike was going to be written off....then the wife said I should go buy another.

Now on FZ6N and loving it!

1) 1983, age 18, low sided my TX500 and stuffed it under a parked car.
2) 1984, age 19, low sided my XZ550 on Rabbit Ears pass at night, the spark shower was cool.
3) 1985, age 20, low sided my RD400 on the race track
4) 1986, age 21, low sided after being knocked down on the race track on my RZ350
5) 1988, age 24, low sided my GS1100 while trying to do a stoppie at 85
6) 1988, age 24, high sided my RZ350 on the race track at 110

I'm sure there are others but I don't remember.

Not on the FZ6. Once on my Goldwing when a deer ran into me and many times on the dirtbikes. Tipped over once when I put my foot down in a pothole at a stop on my Meanstreak cruiser.:spank:

ive broken my wrist twice but no offs or crashes in about 5 years :cheer: guess im older and wiser now
