Ok, just a bump and reminder of the occasion... (From Jamie's post on the previous page)

Rightio you lot...the 500th post in the Briz Fizz thread got me thinking...us SA boys have not been for a group ride for a while....and it's about time we did!

Weather is going to be crap this weekend, so why not next Sunday...say a 10am kick off...

Now i just spoke to Ozzieboy, and he has put his hand up to cook us Breakfast before we head out!!!! So if you want Breakfast, i reckon you wanna be at Mikey's at 9am.

Dunno what's cooking for Brekky, that's Mikey's deal, but i do reckon i know where we will be riding....down past Second Valley, and onto Victor Harbor via the D road...then maybe back to my joint for a quick beer, via Strath, and Bull Creek road.

For those who dont have Foxtel, and wanna stick around at my house after the ride, and watch the WSBK & Moto GP from this weekend, which i will have taped, you are all more than welcome too....the beer is always cold at my joint!

The ride itself, should take us 3-4 hours.

Would love to see as many of you SA boys as possible jump onboard for this one...I know i will be there, will drag Matty & Gazza, kicking & screaming, if i have to, and will also contact Leo (Busa, or ZXR750), Alex (Ducati 996), Rob (ZX6R), Corbo (ZX9), and a couple of other boys i know from work....old Z900, and new ZX14.....

Am thinking that if you are going to come you better PM mikey for his address!

It's a little more thrilling than usual. Scrubbing in a tire this morning and riding home from Jamie's tonight...lol. Come around a corner to find a trailer load of gravel spread across the corner at the apex....then back on it...then again...lol.

I'll have a mate (another Gary) from work in tow on his 250 ninja so it'll just be a cruise. All welcome. It may be wet. It'll probably be windy, but at least it'll be a day on the bike...lol.

It is an 08 and is Black as the ace of spades. Will have pics on Monday if I decide to stop riding it before the sun goes down.

Will be interested in a small screen due to commute to and from work actually maybe you can help me with recommending one.

Also would like to see your mod with the wind deflectors as that sound interesting as well.

Don't think I need the grip warmers. Went all last season without even thermal liners and didn't freeze. Guess the 20 years of been in the hills has acclimatised me lol.

But yeah will need to meet for sure sometime very soon.

Black, well there is now 2 of us on here from SA with black FZ6N's! Woo Hoo!

The screen that is available on the Yamaha Australia website is pretty decnt, i have that one, is well made, itworks, and it takes about a minute to put on and take off via 2 bolts that replace top triple clamp bolts.

I have used this screen with both the 04-06 instrument panel and the 07+ instruments...it works with both.

As for the Wind deflectors....i found these invaluable riding up through the hills in the early hours of the mornings, on my way home from work....also real easy to put on & take off...

Is it just me or does $334.06 to $447.51 seem expensive for some molded plastic?
Might have to look into making a mold.

Oggy style knobs seem cheaper than quoted by the dealer tho.

Dam right I cant wait. Been without bike for over a month now!

No kids on Monday...so if anyone is interested, i am going riding most of the day...where? No clue....but i will be winding through the hills somewhere on a bike of some FZ6 type orientation....if ya wanna join me, you know where to find me.
