Well according to the paper....the bikies are in two groups tomorrow....Rebels to Victor Harbour....and the others are going to Wellington apparently!

We sorta cross path's with the route to Wellington....am guessing we are just going to have to besuper aware tomorrow morning.

Incidentally, Was driving into the City via South Road tonight, and first we see the big SAPOL mobile control centre truck parked in the BP at Tonsley Park, along with about 5 other police vehicles...then further down the road, a whole bunch more police vehicles heading in the same direction....including a Bus full of Police!

Hmmmm......

Cheers for the breaky mikey and bro, as dave said good to get lost with you jay jay, it wouldnt be a ride if some of us didnt get lost. What absolutely gorgeous riding weather with some of the days we have been having lately. Great to catch up guys, raising a beer to you all.

Had an awesome time myself.....started off playing mother hen but when we got back to the hills with destination Lobie ahead, we kept going thinking all roads lead to Lobie and no one could get lost...lol...oops.

Only got these 2 photos One of the bikes -2 and Gary's lunch...lol...was more about the riding...lol. Grabbed some video of my return trip as I know cameras and number plates make folks nervous...lol.

Gary on the Z1000 had a little trouble with his rear brake on the return trip. It's been eating pads and got so hot it began to de-laminate the disc and locked up every time he touched it. Don't like watching that sort of thing....helpless to aid him. With all the gravel on the road it was sometimes necessary to use it.

Got down to the bottom alright though.

Turned out to be fantastic weather and let me just say a big thankyou to the chefs! Awesome job guys made the day start well.

It became apparent very early that being limited to <7k RPMs was going to be an issue for me. Ah well next time I should not get so far behind to be able to make the wrong turn...hopefully

My pleasure mate, was great to be there. :thumbup:
I'm paying for it now. Took Amy to the party, and my mate from worked turned up, so we went go-karting... My arms are killing me.. Never thought Karting would hurt so much... But man, it was fun, glad I don't have to work today :D

As for Gary's brakes....he came over last night toi watch the Moto GP, and was "spewing" all sorts of filthy comments re the state of Lobethal Road.

When Gazza, Mike & Me, took off down Lobethal, i was in the lead...knowing that a cop was reportedly down the road with a radar gun...so took it real easy....

But it was apparent very early in the run, that Lobethal Road was covered in crap from the big rain we had on Friday....and coupled with the fact that i was dead tired after 1.5 hours sleep the night before, had been chasing Gary for the last 245km's, and the fact that i had recently been bitten by Lobethal Road quite seriously...i took it very easy....Mikey & Gazza passed me at their first opportunity...i did not follow, choosing instead to just cruise real slow...to home.

Sounds like it was a fortuitious decision...I have had to "kick off" the embankment on Lobethal Road before, after hitting some rubble mid corner entry....exactly what happened to Gazza!!!!

Am starting to think that Lobethal Road is becoming a bit of a hazardous place to ride...lots of idiot cagers, road condition is not the best these days....and that's 3 people i know very closely, plus myself, who have had, big, and nasty moments on this road, or very close to it, in 6 months...

It's definitely pretty grubby but not as bad as some other roads I've been riding.:(

Some of the worst ones I've been riding at night as well. We weren't going too hard and it wouldn't have been a problem if it wasn't for his brakes.

I haven't had any trouble with the road...lol...just the people driving it.:spank:

That's the first time I've ridden it since the rains and it's pretty messy though.

Gonna have to head up there with a broom...lol. Clear it all off. Can't have my fave track getting dirty.:thumbup:

I'm far more concerned with the "accidental" spillage of oil on a lot of the motor bike preferred roads. It seems to be happening a lot all of a sudden.

Usually only on the bends.....isn't that odd?:spank::spank:

I'll get some pics I think otherwise people will think I'm paranoid.:D

When Silverback & Me rode to PI earlier this year, we were just about at the Island, about 23km's from the bridge, and there were cops everywhere, traffic was banked up for kilomertres....someone had put oil right in ther middle of the bend...2 bikes came around the corner...both went off, one dead, one critically injured!

There are some real Psycho's out there!

The last 2 roundabouts that I go through on States road have long oil smears, like out of a container. There's a long streak nearly worn off on Belair road. The roundabout in Blackwood, The lower left hander on the Eagle, The lower hairpin on Belair road, on and on and on. On a lot of the other corners people are throwing out paint bombs.....have to stay right on top of things at the moment.:(

Then throw in the natural debris and rice burner drivers and it's starting to get interesting.:eek:

The remedy...know your track as best you can and never go all out....70 -80% max.

Ride the better lit roads at night, and go slower on the darker ones.:thumbup:

I'm positive some of this oil is deliberately laid. Not necessarily for us...some is for turbo toys to get some wheel spin happening...lol....shoulda bought v8's if they wanted wheel spin.

What time were you thinking? I'll be getting a new front on Saturday morn and my tank sorted Thursday morn so Friday morning is free but too many early mornings make me want to end it all with a Red Bull overdose:eek:...lol.:rockon::rockon::rockon::D
