If you want something less "pop-ish" and a lot darker try;
John Digweed, Hernan Cattaneo, Satoshi Tomiie, Steve Lawler, Dave Seaman, Dubfire, etc.
These DJ's produce albums (continuous mix's) that focus on the mix while using all of the best new artists songs.
Also check out any artist released by the record label, "Global Underground". If I had to generalize the genre of these DJ's, it would be; Deep-Dark-Progressive-Jungle-Trance. Great stuff.:thumbup:

all those guys kick ass. sasha is another one you should add.

and gconn that song is a classic. great pick.

and within house music you have many songs. some are more repetitve than others. some actually have people playing live instruments where there is no repetition other than the baseline. in many cases trance is much more repetitive than house music. trance music is by nature more repetitive than house music as it is to entrance the listeners. most computer aided music is by nature repetitive to some degree.

no offense taken tho from the guy who called it garbage. i have heard much worse. the worst insult i ever received was "it sounds like elevator music" i was almost in tears when i heard that one haha

I used to play music. Trance music. You can't go around calling music that other people like garbage. I can think of many friends of mine to whom the trance music \"sounds basically\" the same.

All heavy metal songs sound basically the same to me, but it doesn't to someone that usually listens to heavy metal. You need to respect other people's choices.

Man, what about reggae and country music. That stuff just goes on and on and on and on, always the same tune! :Flip:

I listen to lots of different music. I do happen to like this category a lot. I guess a lot of what I listen to falls into the "electronic" category. House, trance, electronic, etc. These are some of the artist that got me into this type of music... Paul Oakenfold, Paul Van Dyk, ATB, Ian Van Dahl, and lots more. Here of some examples of my very favorites right now (if you like this type of music... this is some really good stuff). Also, sorry about the long list, I wasn't going to embed them all but it makes it so much easier to check each one out.

armin van buuren is da f--kin man, i love sasha and digweed together (ie - communicate), and alot of stuff broadcast from ibiza on bbc radio is the best you will find. gabriel and dresden = badass up and coming stuff. tiesto isnt too bad either

most of the music i listen to is metal, and "electronic", i dont even have a clue how much of this "electronic" music i have, and i still listen to it all the time.

That duf duff sh#t is what i would have said 8 years ago. But aftyer a divorse at 32 years old i learnt to live again. 41 now , house girlie house trance( just bought a new 3 disc trance cd) a tiny bit of jungle, gets a bit scarey, dont like alot of d/bass. We have a radio station here that people listen to all over oz and world wide called fresh fm 92.7 on the net. It plays all this and more.
