I am just curious how everybody rides their FZ6 or whatever you have. I am a huge fan of the FZ6's veratility (probably spelled that wrong). I know most of my riding is spent riding it like a sports bike what i mean by that is I may or may not be going a little faster than the speed limit while weaving through traffic . on the flip side i know that I do spend a lot of time riding smoother and less aggrssive more like a cruiser going the speed limit or under the limit. I know that a lot of that depends greatly on the mood I am currently in.

i think i ride agressivley..low gear ,high revvs, accelerate hard and brake late (traits of previously owning a supermoto) BUT i very rarely break the speed limit..im a responsble hooligan

I drive conservatively while commuting daily. On the weekends, I tend to drive more aggressively in the higher RPMs unless it is a long tour. No music, just ear plugs on any ride over 30 minutes. I know, I should wear them every time...

I agree with this exactly. Point A to point B commuting is relaxed and defensive. The high revs come out during recreation, or alone time in the twisties.

I ride on the conservative side of things. There aren't any canyons to thrash in my area but I do have some twisty roads. Most of my cruising is in the 60-65 mph range which keeps my rev's fairly low (5,000-5,500 rpm range) in 6th gear.

When taking off, I'll usually do it quickly and rev into the 8-10k range. Once up to speed, I'll back off and slow back down to the speed limit.

Completely mixed. Sometimes I'm really moving, sometimes I just cruise along.
I try to experiment with moving off my seat, leverage points, body positioning, rev-matching, emergency braking as much as possible. Even if I'm just out cruising.

All depends on where I'm at and what the conditions are. I think I ride a little to the aggressive side but if I go out with the group on a Sunday ride in the twisties, I'm usually at the back of the pack. I just don't trust roads where cars/trucks/bikes are coming at you from the other way or out of a driveway.

I was in the mountains a few weeks ago and i came around a pretty tight curve only to find an 18 wheeler with 9 of his wheels on my side of the double yellow. I was able to move to the outside of my lane at the speed I was going at with no problem - another 10 mph faster and it might have been a different story :D

as far away from cars, trucks and especially 4WD's as possible! They hurt when you run into one...and have a tendency to make your bike look a bit secondhand!

I ride it the same way all the time. The only time i get aggressive is on the highway or on a road with 2+ lanes, or, if someone looks at me at a traffic light and rev's there car/bike like they want to race then it's Ba$%'s to the wall and off i/we go. When riding on local street's or through town I will ride 3rd gear and keep the rpm's at 7k so that way I am in the power band if i need to get up and go or to downshift when coming to a stop.
