So I'm due for new or renewed insurance June 14th of this year so as usually I'm off shopping and here's what I came up with.
I have the most basic level of insurance and one (car) accident 2 years ago which will drop off record by next year's re-up
Current Insurance (Progressive) wants $204 but here's the breakdown which includes competitor rates which I assume everyone else would find similarly comparable results (or rather ratios of price, company to company)
1- Rider: $123.10
2- Foremost: $163
3- Progressive: $204
4- Allstate: $253
5- AAA(...through Progressive...whut?): $324
6- Geico: $394
7- Markel $448
Farmers, State Farm and Dairyland don't do moto insurance if you don't have a car policy with them.
Traditionally I've jumped between Progressive and Rider with my Ninja (1st year Progressive then Rider then Progressive, added FZ and deleted Ninja and now here we are for the next cycle). I'm surprised by how much better Rider is for the FZ though, the Ninja always had the two of them fighting for best rate (didn't hear of Foremost until now though so that may have shaken things up further but now I do)
