I got a new helmet. I didn't really need one, but it's been a terrible winter so I figured: "what the heck?"
Shoei makes top quality helmets, of course. I did a bunch of research on dual sport helmets and this is the best one.
There a bunch of companies that make helmets for the ADV touring poser crowd nowadays. This is basically a helmet that you can hit the highway with, tear up some canyons, then do some trail riding with.
I like this helmet because it has a shield to block the sun, like on MX helmets. It also has great peripheral vision. The helmet is supposedly ok for highways speeds.
Right now there's a sale on the Sonora version, which differs from the non-Sonora only in paint scheme.
This style of helmet may look silly on a sportbike, not that I am really that vain, but it would look good on a naked fz6 (or a GS bike, for that matter
).
