Need Help Seem to can’t adjust the right side of the swingarm to adjust slack

Hey guys, took it a shady shop to get the chain loosened up a bit because after doing the sprocket and the chain replacement it starting making a whizzing noise whenever i rolled on the throttle, so i thought loosening the chain would fix it. The chain is at at somewhat the proper slack now but i can still hear the buzzing noise coming from somewhere near the sprocket, doesn’t happen when it’s running up on a center stand. Anyways, i come home and see that the alignment is off and the ride side has no more screw room to push it back as in there’s nothing touching between the adjusting thingy that moves and the bolt that pushes it back. Any advice ?

There's a lock nut and an adjuster bolt.

If you look in your owners manual, it'll show how to adjust.

In any event, loosen the axle crack the lock nuts loose and crank out
the adjuster bolts. That'll push the wheel / sprocket back tightening up the chain.

In your last picture, it appears something is under the head of the axle-What is it?

BTW, you should have about 2" total up and down play, while on the center stand. This is measured
by the lower plastic swing arm guard...

Too tight and it'll whine..

In many cases, the opposite side will need to be brought in as the one side is pushed out to create balance.
If doing this leaves your chain too loose, then the chain may need replaced. There are gauges to see if the chain is stretched to the point of needing replacement.
Also compare both adjustment bolts to be sure they are the same and one wasn't swapped out at some point.

Thanks i’ll give it shot, im just worried about running out of adjustment bolt room as in my previous fixes i’ve never had one run out of space before

Looking at your picture, (the marks on the swingarm specifically) your not even half ways out..

I went to the shop and i explained it to him that the alignment was off in the notches but he looked underneath the chain and told me as long as the chain is straight the wheel is straight and told me it was all good… I’m so confused the whining noise seems to be like bee buzzing but only when i accelerate. i don’t feel like the bike is swinging in one direction either?

Did you have both sprockets replaced? I can see that there are markings on the chain in the photo...but I can't see what brand/model. Is this an X-Ring chain? They can be a bit noisier than an O-Ring. Are these aluminum or steel sprockets? Did you change sprocket sizes?

Almost any change in the final drive is going to make more - or different - noise than a worn-out chain riding on a worn-out sprockets. Worn stuff sounds "slappy" and new stuff whines like an F1 car.

I had both sprockets and chain replaced, the chain is EK-CHAIN and the sprockets are both steel, the front sprocket is from jt sprockets with the rubber

the sound is more like a bee buzzing but only during acceleration.

Check your chain guide for wear.

Are your alignment marks on the swingarm adjusted out the same for both sides?

Did you check the free-play (up and down movement)?

yup took it to the shop today, slack is set around 1inch, it’s aligned but i’m still hearing the buzzing noise every time i accelerate its fine when i roll off the throttle. I’m just going to assume it’s the chain sliding against the guard that’s making that noise

1 inch is too tight. go back and readjust to FZ6 specification.

It's in your owners manual as well...

Read it and might want to pay attention (at least read) to what posters here are
stating...

And find a new mechanic.

Last time I had my FZ6 chain and sprockets changed the shop had left mine too tight .

Luckily I know what it should look like without even measuring it and wheeled it back in for them to slacken it off to the correct amount.

The FZ6 has a slacker than usual chain (45mm-55mm) (I'm sure it's due to the shock linkage being directly connected to the swing arm).
My FZ1 rear shock is connected by "dog-bones" and only needs 25mm-35mm slack.
