The More I Watch Moto2....

...the less I miss 250s and the less I want to watch MotoGP.

I recorded all 3 Silverstone races today but managed to catch the MotoGP race live. Yawn... except for Ben Spies' charge to the podium.

Now then... I got home and started watching the Moto2 race. These guys are nuts! This is what racing should be... 40 odd bikes in the field, close competition, lots of positional changes, it is actually exciting to watch!

They should drop Lorenzo et al into this 600cc class and see how they do.

But MotoGP is where all the attention is focused ..... best machinery and best riders. If you think the top class is boring now think back to the era of Mick Doohan's dominance in the mid-to late-90's...BORING. Doohan was the best rider with the best machinery and ran away from everyone else. Right now, if Rossi isn't in the race it is not as interesting .... kind of like Tiger Woods and golf.

Lorenzo rode a fantastic race - I don't think he needs to know how to do it. I didn't think the MotoGp was too bad, even if it was missing Valentino.

As for Moto2, it's pretty good - just need Ant West to get a better bike.

125 - well, there was some great racing there.

I thought I would not enjoy watching the racing without my man, but to be honest, Silverstone is a great circuit and it was pretty good racing :thumbup:

I hear ya Andz, I just watched the Moto2, brilliant stuff. I feel sorry for Luthi, so close... Yet so far. (I've been a fan of his from 125's, and admired him even more after being run over at Suzuka.. or was it Motegi).

Kazza, Ant West only had his girlfriend, manager and 1 mechanic in his pit-crew at Silverstone, not a bad effort to get up to 18th. He can't get a better bike, they're all the same...lol

One HD (Aussie TV channel) had Jeremy Burgess in the studio, they asked him what he would do with MotoGP if he was given a "blank canvas" and told to get it happening.
If it was up to him... MotoGP would be running top-spec 600 cc machines, so there's not such a gap between Moto2 and the main game.... Interesting???

Couldnt agree more Andrew , im really enjoying the Moto 2... Still miss the 250's but they are filling the void just nicely with some great racing & some personalities , which sadly has gone astray in MotoGP

Im becoming a big fan of Moto2. Racing has been more than entertaining, its been no holds barred racing :thumbup:

My only complaint is that its a control motor formula (with the wrong donor 600, should have been the R6 donk :rockon. Hope very very soon they open it up to other manufacturers.

I enjoy the Moto2 more than the GP , not as exciting to watch, still have not seen any MotoGP guys powerslide when braking, saw that ALOT yesterday watching Moto2... Also those guys are frikkin insane !! GP seems to be one guy gets ahead and thats pretty much it :/

I agree completely. They should do the same with the GP bikes, just make them 1,000cc.

Good watching One HD last night with Jerry Burgess - his comment about Ferrari frightened me - if they are allowed to run 3 cars, the 3rd one is for Rossi

He also said, well, if you read between the lines, that he'll basically go wherever Rossi goes for MotoGP. Even Ducati. He said he will follow his rider through to the end. Well, that's how I heard it.

Wish Jerry could be at One HD studios every week, but then, that would mean that my Vale still isn't racing
