I have ridden a few hundred miles in my Tourmaster Response 2.0 WP boots.
Here are my observations after reading the WebBikeWorld.com review:
.25 to .5 size large - Per the review, the boot is a bit large. I wear a 10 in a New Balance sneaker and Vasque hiking boot. The Response felt between .25 and .5 size large on my foot in a size 10. However, I've gotten used to the fit after riding, and I feel comfortable that it will not break in such that it flops around on my foot.
Laces and velcro ankle strap - I am not a fan of the velcro around the ankle and the long laces. They are a bit too long and easily get caught up in the velcro ankle strap. I keep my boots in the original box specifically to keep the velcro from being congested with dog hair from around the house.
Water resistance - I took a 6+ hour MSF Basic Bike Bonding course 3 weeks ago and did so in a light drizzle, light rain for most of the day. Not once did I feel like there was any dampness in the boot. I think if you were riding in occasional rain, you would be fine. I did NOT buy the boot for the waterproof claim, however, so I knew this going in.
Price - Per the review, the $100 or less price point for the Response is the reason that most folks, I think, will go to this boot. It's a great "meets the MSF course requirement for gear" boot. I got mine from Motorcycle-Superstore.com and they were in new condition with all the requisite tags.
Summary
If you're new to riding motorcycles (like me), this is a good starting boot unless you're racing. I've already recommended the boot to new KLR650 rider at work, and he's been riding his bike in pouring rain (unlike me) for almost a week without issue.
