Upgrade FZ6 to FZ6R

I would like to upgrade my FZ6 S2 2008 to FZ6 R 2009, is this possible?

- Nonthings change for engine
- just install boby kit, lights....

what part exactly of 20 horsepower less and 10lbs more weight is considered an upgrade?

Sorry mate but that's actually a downgrade. With no direspect intended to the R variant or it's riders.

I just like to install 2009 body kits, so my 2008 will look like 2009.

i think yoy will find that everything is different....frame, seat unit, forks, etc....and the mouting points would be all wrong...having said that, just about anything is possible, if you want it enough...just might require some very substantial modifications to mounts, etc.

You would probably be better off just trading in the 08 for an 09. Given that the S2 is a more expensive bike than the FZ6R and the cost of modding the bike, you would probably save money.

Just get the full-fairing kit for yours and it will basically look the same. (but be a lighter, more powerful bike)

For sure! Just get a fairing kit if that's really what you want. The "R" is a completely different bike, with nothing really the same...

Mine came with the bike. In the UK they are usually about £400 ish. I'm pretty sure that Powerbronze sell them though.

Yamaha makes a OEM full cowl kit. I was looking at a FZ6R the other day, the swingarms are stupid long, and the tail piece comes down mid tire. I like my FZ thanks.
