Playa del carmen Mexico. It was my honeymoon, fairly inexpensive and an overall awesome trip and all inclusive!

The best time I have ever had was at deals gap. The second and third best times were at Mammoth cave. After that Destin florida, Coulport Scotland, Bergen Norway, Rome Italy, and the Portsmouth England. If I could go anywhere, and money was not a issue, I would go on Aerostich's Japan tour coming up. I have always been entranced with Japan, it is so pretty.

Waterton National Park, Canada. This is right across the border from Glacier Nat'l Park in Montana. The town of Waterton is right in the middle of the park, where I usually stay. The scenery is second to none, and the wildlife is just as plentiful as Yellowstone; I've done some of my best nature photography there: mule deer, bighorn sheep, mountain goats, arctic ground squirrels (they hibernate 9 mos out of the year!). Really a beautiful place and I'll probably be heading back up there this coming June.

South Africa 2005 9 guys who had never met as a group.
1 VW SUV.
Beer.
Rifles.
Humor and bonding. 3 weeks of total male (childish) madness. I fridge killed in a hostel. Worlds largest Bungee jump. 65 foot cliff jump into the sea.

Excellent in the extreme.

with exception of where I went in the Navy, I went to Yellowstone National Park as a kid. I remember the scenery was breath taking, being able to picnic in the outdoors as a herd of Elk or Buffalo was literally feet away from us. and seeing the boiling water from the volcanic activity was like something from a movie. not to mention "old faithful" . I'd love to go back there someday on the FZ6 and really enjoy the scenery from outside, rather then through a windshield.

I feel very fortunate in that I have traveled to so many wonderful places. I have 3 of these United States left to visit and plenty of time left to do it as they are all in the same place and small states. I have been to The Grand Canyon, Yosemite, Death Valley, Banff, Lake Louise, The Cagary Stampede, Yellow Stone, Shiloh, The Alamo, Durango, Montezuma's Castle, Sedona, Mount Rushmore, Niagra Falls, the top of the Empire State Building, Big Sur, The Russian River, Zion, the special management area of Sequoia, Bryce Canyon, Golher Wash, Hoover dam, Lake Powell, Navajo Canyon, Davis Dam, Imperial Dam, Parker Strip, Copper Canyon, Catalina, the north shore of Oahu in February and this is only the beginning. Best places? All of them because they all had their own beauty and intrigue.... All I can say is travel and there is a lifetime of things to see.

Yeah it does and you and I are going to tear that place up with a couple of nakeds in what, about 4 months??? Outrageous asphalt and twisties at Mammoth cave with some solid sweepers too. I would however like to get in the area before the tourist traffic chokes things up.......

Of the very few places I've visited, Vienna was really worth seeing. I'd also like to visit Rome or Venice. Oh, and München too. Here in Finland there are a lot of beautiful places in Lappland which are for me somewhat exotic. But if you look at my photo gallery you can very well see that the countryside and rural views of Central Finland are definitely my favourites.

My son lives in Vegas and he has to pay me to go there. Just another big city with way too many people.

I base my favorite place by the amount of fun or activity a city or place provides. If crowds are not your liking, then yes, Vegas is not the place, or any other place that has lots of people like London, NY, SF, Rome, or any other city. I like Vegas because it's a 24hr city, I'm never bored. There are plenty of things to do here, regardless what time or day. If I want to go get a nice steak dinner right now at 2 am., then off to Ruth's Chris because they're open until 4 am. I don't have to resort to Denny's or a Steak N Shake or Waffle House if you're in Kentucky. Amsterdam is like the Vegas of Europe, it comes alive at night. If you're looking for somplace scenic, that's fine too. As long as you're not bored. I've been to a lot of places myself, from the fiords of Norway and the Pacific NW, to the bottom of the Grand Canyon and to the Black Forrest of Germany. The final frontier, Alaska with all of the glaciers. Some of the places are just breathtaking and so beautiful and peaceful. But somplaces are just not meant for everyone.

Vegas... I will be in Amsterdam in just a few months (end of April) -- I am spending 2 weeks there on a bicycle trip... I am planning a day or two at the start and end in Amsterdam.

What should I make sure to see while I am there.

yeah I've had plenty of nights out in Amsterdam but I've still to see the mother of them all Vegas.

my best trip was 3 weeks in Oz. A week on and around Bondai beach, a week in Cairns, a bit of diving from a sailing boat, can't beat it. 3 days walking around the blue mountains and the rest in Sydney. Definately my best trip up till now.

Central Colorado

Took the family to Colorado last summer (daughter competing in track cycling). Afterwards, spent a week with the family in Snowmass/Aspen, followed by a week riding road bicycles (and hiking, kayaking, mtn biking, fly fishing, etc.) with teammates in the same area. Wow... the scenery, the roads, the activities, the roads, the scenery,... The rates were actually pretty low, too. I can't understand why anyone would go there in the dead of winter

Man, I wish I had owned a motorcycle back then! I plan to go back in the next few years, this time WITH THE FZ6.
