Hope you guys are having a great (and safe) time!

I had the privilege of meeting one of our members today as he and his buddy stopped for gas in Lexington, KY. on their way to the Gap. Not sure of his screen name, but I know he left out of Columbus, OH. this morning with his buddy on a Triumph. He was on a navy blue '08 or '09 FZ6 with the FAZR6 FE kit and newly installed FZ1 bar. He was wearing Sidi Vertigos and an HJC helmet, that much I know...lol. I didn't get to talk for long, but I got to wish them well and to have a safe trip.

I wish I knew his screen name, but I hope they made it ok and hope you guys are showing him a great time. He mentioned that this was his first trip to the Gap!

you met Anarchy and his dad, and they made it safe.

Awesome! Thanks Ant! I'm heading down there the 17th-19th of July for the first time with our group from Kentucky-Sportbikes.com, and I can't wait!

I agree with sideshow_downs that those of you lucky enough to be there should take TONS of pics and post them up once you get home safely. I know the cell coverage and internet access down there is VERY spotty, so no one expects anything during the trip. But someone should start a thread dedicated to just shots from this trip. That would be great!

There's a big problem with pics in that area....

First, there's such a VAST amount of great views and vistas there that you'd spend the entire trip in first gear. You'd be stopping at every corner and turnout to get shots.

Second, you're having SOOOO much fun riding all the fantastic roads that you don't WANT to stop for pics.

That was what my wife and I experienced.... Amazing part of this great country!

yeah defy we made it - actually heading back home right now. stayed up at the gap area late 2 11pm. all together i think there were a few more bikes than last year, plus several more we saw in the gap area that don't get on the board. instead of trying to run such a big group folks just broke up into mini groups ranging from 3 - maybe 9 . which worked out good. sorry you couldn't make it. steve's talking up a full week next year ( i think the house are pay for 5 nights get 2 free or something like that ). a lot guys are on board with that so hint - hint. tell angela hey. T.G. and M.T.G.
