Lower Fairing/Chin Cowl

Hi All

I am trying to find a lower fairing (also i believe sometimes referred to as a chin/belly cowl) for my bike. I have the black/silver model so would be looking for one in ether of those colours although i think i would prefer black. Does anyone have one thye would like to sell or could you point me in the right direction where i can get one for a reasonable price?

Do you mean a belly pan?

If you contact ESB they have the Genuine Yamaha silver belly pan/sub cowl on special at the moment at £64.99.

The black one however is £208.99!

I got one from Simpson Detour and specifically asked for one to fit an 06 model but received one that didn't fit (i assume an S2 model).

I know someone who got a genuine Yamaha one and that fit like a dream. Although you'd expect as much seeing as they made the bike. LOL.

The simpson one loosk a good price for a nice looking unit

There are gel finish ones on Ebay for about £40 but you have to paint them yourself- not too bad if you want black but metallics are a pain- maybe your local car paintshop ould spray them up and lacquer them by which time you might as well buy the simpson

Yeah, I have an 08. I know it says 04-06. I was willing to take a risk when I ordered it...especially after looking at an 04 bike and seeing it is so similar. It fits perfectly well. It doesn't come with any mounting brackets, so we made some up. I have a thread about the brackets somewhere on here.

I'm not trying to sell you anything. It would cost way to much to ship those, I would guess...and not worth the hassle. The pictures should be helpful to you to get the brackets made.
