Horrible design on the Y pipe...they should have made the direct, longer one go to the outside and shorter, off the t go to the closer side. i thought that's how they had it...must have been the two brothers or another make. Damn...most of the exhaust will go through one side with this design.

I agree with Breeze in that the Y-pipe design (should I even call it that) is jacked up. Seems like they were concerned with only one pipe serving as the main exhaust. Two Bros and even Scorpion has a better flow in the Y-Pipe.

There's a better picture if you search for it but here you get teh idea...the shape of the Y helps to even the output by the geometry...at least an ATTEMPT to have equal static pressure in teh muffler.
It's not a big deal...but its still a hack job. I used to see it all the time when I dealt with ducts and lazy, imcompetent, and inconsiderate contractors. When one room gets too much air and another not enough...it becomes a bigger deal i guess.

Gear Porn is always welcome, thanks!
Mine haven't arrived yet; unfortunately I leave for Chicago tomorrow morning, get back Friday night, leave for Tooele UT for AF Reserves Saturday o'dark am, get back Sunday night, fly out Monday morning to Indian Head MD, get back Thursday night. I think I get to stay home that weekend, but ol' what's-her-name will probably be demanding some time and a squeeze, etc.
Dammit!

Alright... I began installing the M4s and then ran in to this...

2. Mount supplied hanger bracket to were the stock canister was bolted. (**See photo below). Use stock bolts and two of the supplied 8mm flange nuts.

Where does one install the Hanger bracket (YA6469) ? I have the FE kit for my 2007 FZ6 and that sh/t bracket does not fit nicely.

I just finished mounting mine, but without the bracket. There was no place for it. The pipes are deep and loud. First test ride tomorrow.

I have not heard back from neidermeyer regarding the mounting parts (specifically the bracket) did not seem to attach to anywhere on my bike. I'm sure I followed the directions correctly; they were not very clear.

M4 is going to call me back with a solution to the mounting bracket issue. While my pipes are on and seem secure. I'd like to know that all the parts fit properly including the lame bracket.

Please let me know if you run in to any installation problems. I love the sound and quality of the pipes; they are deep, loud and look awesome. It's just that not all parts fit properly. I'll take photos, video and sound clips later on.

Cheers

I had no problems with installing.. the bracket goes with that bracket that held the old exhaust to the seat.. you still use that.. #20 on the exhaust page here http://www.prosourcemotorsports.com/fiche_section_detail.asp

Only 3 things you do not resuse. 1. the stock canister. 2. The PROTECTOR ASSY 3. the 2 bolts that hold the PROTECTOR ASSY on.
