What is wrong with a 10 year old bike?

This space intentionally left blank.

Lots of things were. I finally got things sorted out, I think. I still need to make room for my fat feet and loosen up my Knee bend. After A couple of hours my knees go stiff and getting them down for a landing gets rough. Like I told the last cop to stop me for running a stop sign; "but I yield for red lights."
Which is a bad habit, sorta. I normally roll through stop signs in first at 15 to 20 MPH. I'll stop for a red light if there is a lot of traffic. A bad habit to get into. Not so much for me but I sometimes ride with kids and they don't need to pick up my bad habits.
I have rear sets to put on the next good day and the next tire change I will put on a new shock and spring. Check and lube the swing arm while I'm at it. That should pretty much do it for 2015. Unless, of course, my high beam dies. Low beam went and I have a new one ordered. I should have ordered another high, since it is not a bad idea to replace them together.
The Battery is good (fingers crossed) but 10 years is pretty good and I keep it on a battery tender Jr. but eventually it will go.
American law requires that a parts inventory be maintained for 10 years after a model is sold. That is the point in being 10 years old. Since the FZ-6 was the #1 selling 600 worldwide in '05 and '06, Yamaha will probably keep the parts chain going. :D

I stopped by the local dealership- they've already placed their order and will have a shipment by the end of the month.

Looking forward to seeing it up close.

Blah. That is not a good enough reason to ride a v-strom. [emoji19]

Looks like I will be test riding a FJ09 in about 1 month as my riding buddy is taking delivery of his FJ-09 in Mid-December and said He'd let me take it for a test run. I'm a bit leery of doing so because I will undoubtedly want one!

seemed a good bike, to me. i saw it, i sat on it. sitting on it felt almost exactly like the FZ6 but with higher bars and lower pegs. thats it
