Sup guys! Been a while :)
- Speedo mounting used basic stainless steel clamps for handlebars with female threaded holes to mount the speedo
- Signals were Rizoma LEDs
I was watching a few old Youtube videos of riding Big Bear, ACH, Ojai, Glendora Mountain Road, Palomar, Montezuma, Malibu, trackdays with you and the guys, etc etc... man we had some serious fun in the past few years... it was all very worth it!
Need corners tho............... Blah
Actually, I am not moving out of the country anymore (had a possibility to go work in France recently, but turned it down)... I had written that ad a while back and just copied/pasted it :) Basically, I am taking a break from motorcycling (I crash too often and I have young kids at home) :)...
John: part of me wishes... part of me doesn't
Mark: thx man... lucky I was!
And it continues: long story short, today I found out that I had overpaid my hospital bills (no, they didn't volunteer the information...) by close to $2k, which wipes out the last bill I had open, and allows...
Alright, good news, AAA paid the extra $1800 for the frame replacement... I had to stop by the Harley dealer today to sign the repair order... Here is the bike as of today (they didn't fix much yet, but have most of the parts):
Expected lead-time: 1 month! :BLAA:
Great question... I wasn't pushing as hard as I had in the past on that road, but I was going at a pretty good clip... probably around 70mph at corner entry. The camera location (top of helmet) doesn't translate speed as much as when it's near the ground, on the forks or something.
Anyway...
Especially that I have ZERO recollection of ANYTHING that happened after the crash. I don't remember walking up and then sitting on the guardrail... I don't remember all the guys talking to me... I don't remember the ambulance or the helicopter ride (expensive ride for not remembering!!!)...
Not quite sure. It's been there for years and I've gone down Montezuma faster than that particular time, but I hit it just right... there is a groove in the middle of it as well and I think my front tire caught it perfectly this time...
Thanks for everything again!!! One day, I'll...
