Considering Yamaha made a loss of $169 Million in the first quarter of 2009, I guess they are within their rights to increase the price a little.
Although the 2nd hand prices might seem a little high, when you consider that $10-15 thousand odd dollars can buy you a brand new motorcycle, it's...
Doesn't look like (from the side view) there would be any issues with clearance on the dash, but I can't say I like the look of it either. Much prefer the look of the dash in front of the triples - you could also get in touch with your local Yamaha dealer and ask for the Naked bike dash cover...
I didn't buy a race fairing to use specifically for the road, rather i bought it for the track, then thought rather then spend the $1500 plus that it will cost me to put the fairing on the bike (almost every part is smashed) the small amount I paid for the fairing would be a cheaper option to...
Got some new parts this week. I didn't really need them, but thought they may come in handy.
See, I am in the process of changing the bike from an FZ6s to the naked version, only with an old school round headlight rather then the genuine style. But, I was thinking that it may be cool to look...
I'm in the middle of putting a single headlight on an 07. Not sure if you have access to MCS parts or not in the states, but I used a 7" MCS chrome headlight (side mounts) and 43mm forks clamps.
I am yet to wire in as the bike needs to be running to get the headlight up, and as I only just...
Going backwards now, but here are some pics of the bike before I did any repairs to it. Nice big dent in the tank. Required a bit of metal work before applying filler/bog.
Followed by a pic of the headlight going on (rather then the fairing).
I'll be hi-filling these parts tomorrow for a...
Well, after much bog and sanding and bog and sanding, I am ready to etch prime the fuel tank and side cowls.
I've attached a few pics to show the repaired area (although I was spray gun happy and put the first coat of primer on before taking a picture so it is a little hard to see the bog...
I'm looking into getting some rearsets custom machined. I get a fair bit of laser cutting done and should be able to get these at a fair price.
1) Does anyone have a tech drawing of the setback plates that I can use measurements and angles from to speed this up. (eg. Between Centres for the...
Old post, but from what I know of chains the main idea of lubing the chain it to keep the O-rings (X-ring, W-ring, O-ring etc) lubes to protect the seal. The lube that is on the pins of the chain is held in there by the o-rings. If the o-rings dry out, the lube comes out from the pins.
Only...
hmmm, looks like custom triple clamps but the front wheel looks the same which is a plus, and the discs are standard FZ6 from what I can see - the ZX discs are wave so def not them.
Any contact details for the owner?
Gday to all. I have a spare set of ZX636 front forks, triple clamps and also the rear shock with some spare linkages.
Has anyone fitted any of these parts to a FZ6 07/08 before? I'm not so sure I want to go through all the work to do the forks, but was considering swapping the shock out and...
