Cool guys. Thanks for all of the help. It is truly appreciated.

    Losing Power

Thanks for the heads up. I hope too that it is something simple. I'm doubting fuel pump as I would think that would be a more consistent problem as well...right? Hmmmm...we'll see. Thanks again.

    Losing Power

I was going to pull the filter and plugs this weekend. Those were two of my initial thoughts along with checking for debris in the fuel injectors. Thanks for the advice.

    Losing Power

That is a great idea. I will run a check on them this weekend. I really appreciate the help. This is one of the reasons that I love this Forum. Motorcycle enthusiasts looking out for one another. MY SINCERE GRATITUDE.

    Losing Power

That is certainly possible...but I would have to wonder why it's not doing it earlier after a fill up as opposed to after I have gone 50+ miles? The first time it happened I had gone over 120 miles. Thanks for the reply. Any thoughts are most appreciated.

How much to sell Fz6 for?

Im with a couple of these guys. Sell mods seperate. I already have someone offering a decent chunk for my Two-Brothers exhaust. I have been watching the selling trends over the past year and they are not good for the seller. With the economy the way it is, people are not buying "luxury"...

    Losing Power

Looking for some insight. I have a 2007 FZ6 and last April as I was riding along, it suddenly started to lose power. If I pulled the clutch in and gave it some throttle it would idle up, but when I released the clutch and started going again in would start to bog down again. It did not do it...

Feels different when I lean to the right than to the left, why?

It is very common to feel better/stronger turning one direction over another. In fact, I remember seeing an interview with Carlos Checa (current points leader in World Superbike) and he talked at length about how much better he is on clockwise tracks because of his ability to turn right better...

    Buying 2007 FZ6 - $3900

It is a very good deal, but I wonder why the NADA avg. retail is about $4900, and the Kelly Blue Book is about $3800? I guess if you are selling you try to use NADA and if buying you reference KBB! Haha. Either way, it is an excelling bike at $4000(ish).....you won't regret it. And you will...

    Thinking about another bike

I wouldn't change a thing. Like you said, you would never get anything back for it. KBB is about $3800. List it for that with the understanding that you most likely will not get it. I have noticed a lot of bikes selling for well below book because people just aren't buying with current...

From now on only sport tyres anymore!!!

I'm with Drinky. I have used about every tire maker and type there is and I fell in love with the Michelin Pilot 2CT's. I scrubbed the hell out of them all the way to the outer edges. All on the FZ6.....Not to take away from your CBR, but with the right tire, your FZ would have scrubbed those...

Best helmet for people who wear glasses...

Yep! I wear glasses and I have three Scorpions. Comfy! Comfy! Now my dad is in the same boat, but his glasses don't fit the Scorpion as well. We compared and found that the stem of his glasses that go around and behind the ear is longer and steaper. Mine do not angle down as much behind the...

My 1st bike is going to be a FZ6

Congratulation! You have bought one hell of a bike. I have put well over 3,000 miles on mine since last week of March. All kinds of riding. The biggest single thing in my opinion is "GEAR UP". Proper jacket, gloves, helmet, etc. The old saying is, "If you think you have a $100 head...

    AMA Pro Road Racing....thoughts???

Yes, we are talking about the premier road racers here in America. The same series that were the home of Ben Spies, Nicky Hayden, Collin Edwards, John Hopkins, Wayne Rainey, Kenny Roberts, Freddie Spencer, Kevin Schwantz, Kenny Lawson and Scott Russel. I'm sure I probably missed one or two...

    AMA Pro Road Racing....thoughts???

Wow. 12 hrs later with 20 views and no replies. Now I really see why motorcycle road racing in America is doomed. No regard for the very labratory of research and developement that brings us the performace adavances on the bikes we love to ride. Our Aussie buddy's are looking at this and...

    AMA Pro Road Racing....thoughts???

I know a few of you are memebers on Sportrider.com and are involved in posts with regards to the cancelled event at VIR next month. I put this on FZ6 Forum because I see a lot of knowledgable motorcyclists here, and I am curious as to the opinions out there about this unfortunate situation...

    Riding the Darkside?

To each their own. But notice this one is done on a cruiser, not a sport or sport-touring bike. With a cruiser sitting so low, it is never difficult to scrape the pegs or floorboards....I have had a few, trust me I know. Maybe I have a different riding style, but I wear down the front...

    i love my bike. But...

I'm with most of these gents. When I bought my '07, I had the fairing off of it and put on the dual can headlights within a week. In my profile photo you see top mount mirrors....those were on it temporarily while I order bar end mounts (Love Them). And just for the record, I hit the highways...

    New to the forum

Welcome aboard. You have purchased an extremely solid motorcycle. I have the 2007 and have put just over 3200 miles on it since the first week of April. I went to the Michelin Pilot 2CT's and they have been awesome. I also have the Two Brother Carbon Fiber system and I love it. It is a...

    What defines a motorcyclist?

There's only one thing I hate about motorcycle ownership, and that is, I put the miles on it so damn fast that I feel guilty about getting a different one about every two years....3,371 miles since last week of March. Sad thing is, that is the norm for me. Not saying that makes me a...
