The Forums are still on my bookmark bar although I just had to update the address to get me here instead of Yamaha's website. I have not posted in a long time but still look in from time to time. I sold my FZ6 this march and I have a Vstar 1300 now. I am enjoying the cruiser riding but I do miss...
I know exactly what you mean. One day I can go out and feel invincible and not afraid to try anything. Go out a day later and I feel nervous and a since of dread and fear. On those days I usually just wait an hour or two and try again and I am good to go. I figure why chance it whether its...
I work in Fenton, MO across the street from the place that makes these, nice little operation. They put on a motorcycle stunt show and had a factory tour a couple years ago and my son and I got to look around. They seem very well made.
 Congrats
Well, They do scrape pavement rather easily but they are so comfortable. Notice I am enjoying the surroundings more with this bike now that I can relax a bit more. Not that I am less cautious really, just I am not riding this bike in a way that requires me to be calculating two curves ahead. :)
Whats up Dirk.... I saw you got a new Harley a few weeks ago, very nice.
2nd childhood, I actually was looking in the 950 range and had read that some were not happy with it especially riding 2up. I had pretty much decided none the less to go that route when the 1300 deal arose and it was to...
After realizing that most of my friends have cruisers and that the type of riding they liked to do was not as much fun on the FZ6 I decided to dive into their world. I have to admit that the highway riding is much more enjoyable now. I know I am going to miss some of the more aggressive twisty...
I wouldn't mind seeing it from a distance, don't want to get caught out in the mess though.
Hey Beth... I just got a new bike!! Went with an old man bike :) ... at least that's what my wife called it. I am not sure if I will keep the FZ6 or not. I would like too but I don't want to pay...
Glad you are OK. I think about deer every time I'm on the bike and pass the spot where I hit one a few years back in my truck. I remember what a jolt it was in a mid sized pickup, hate to feel that on a bike. Whats the next ride going to be? Another Yamaha?
Thanks for the info...
Still a bit to much cash for the small gain I am looking for... mainly smoothing out the low speed throttle issues with FZ6. For that cash I'll just continue feathering the throttle and quick shifting to second on the slow streets. I didn't help myself any by adding the...
I just found some posts about ECUnleashed this morning that linked me over to the FZ1 site with some really helpful info from Hellgate. I didn't find anyone that has tried this on the FZ6 as of yet. Just wondering if anyone had and their thoughts regarding the throttle response afterwards? Also...
Welcome!! Lots of great info to be found here. Look forward to riding with you sometime. Go to stlryderz.com for some friendly local rides in the area. They are a nice group of people who welcome all types of riders. Aggressive or new riders on any type of bike are all welcome and comfortable...
Your English is fine.
In my opinion if you are getting the lowering spring you will not want to go lower on the spring adjuster. I used to ride at 4 on my factory spring and went to 6 with the Hyperpro lowering spring , I weigh 160 pounds. If you are not getting the lowering spring I can...
Thank you all for the Birthday wishes. I took a little private birthday ride this morning instead of putting in some O.T. at work. Then I came home to my wife making me some fried catfish and fried potatoes, my favorite dish. Its was a nice relaxing day and thanks to now being forty I will get...
This is the bar end mirrors I have. Quality is pretty good, only complaint is that you really have to crank the screw to get them to tighten up inside the bar. I love the looks but it is hard to judge distance with them because of the convex mirror.
YAMAHA YZF R6 R1 R6S FZ6 FZ1 FAZER CNC...
Looks great!! ..
Do you like the mirrors... and where did you get them?
I removed my stock mirrors for bar ends and I sure miss the stock for function but I love the bar end look. Yours look like a nice compromise.
You must make moving priority one. Remember, these asses have nothing but time to screw with you. You are busy trying to create a comfortable life for your family and you don't have the time to play games with these people! Not going to be an enjoyable life for you or you wife looking out the...
