Early november I dropped my bike ... not paying the correct attention led me locking up the front wheel and going down.
It was less than 50km/h, full gear saved most of me, but the fazer sadly went to the grave. She had a cracked frame already, and at 173 odd thousand km it was not worth...
My 90 year old mother wanted to visit her relatives so I escorted her back to Japan the other day. Started off in Boise last Tuesday and flew to Seattle then onto Japan. I'm actually working my way back on my own in a round a bout way as I begin this post, I will return back to Japan in January...
Sold!!
Probably one of the last pieces off the bike I have left :).
Yamaha aftermarket comfort seat: $100 shipped to lower 48.
Its totally perfect on top, bottom edges (where it touches body or when you place it down) are simply wear/tear worn a bit.
Will post pics tonight.
I won't explain...
I have Oxford grips and for about a year up to now were working fine, but for the last couple of days started acting up. The control unit went off and back on every 5 - 10 mins, and today it never turned back on again. The interesting part is the power is there as the power light is on, but the...
Sometimes I goof off and want to relax my hands/ back/ shoulders when I'm approaching a red light an eighth of a mile away and there is no one behind me, riding up to it with no hands on the bars. Or I just want to coast without engine braking/ holding the throttle open.
Sometimes I...
About two years ago my son's best friend asked if I would help him find a first bike. I pointed him in the direction of the usual suspects (FZ6, SV650, EX650R) and he settled on an FZ6 not to far away. I went with him for the pre-purchase inspection, gave him my approval and rode the bike home...
So, to start on Monday just setting off from work and shifting up through 2nd then into 3rd the clutch cable snapped right a the lever - which was a learning experience to try and deal with and an horriffic sound from stalling the bike in that gear as I came to a safe stop.
Had a new one...
I am a newer rider, have about 2000 miles under my belt, all on an 07 FZ6. I love the bike, but I would like to do some basic mods on it to allow for a more aggressive riding posture. I am 6' 2", and I am wondering if there is a seat out there that allows you to sit further back, as mine is...
Hi all,
I apologise in advance if this is in the wrong thread, didn't really know where else to put it ;0)
Anyway, I'm looking for a little DIY help please.
I store my beloved FZ6 in my garage, but I have to ramp it up over a proud 20cm threshold on my uPVC door & it can be a real PITA...
John & I had originally planned to make this trip back in spring, but when our dog got sick, it was put on hold. Fall is a better time to visit the south anyway, right?
Packed up the car and loaded the bikes on the trailer for what I thought would be a grueling 20 hour drive....but it wasn't as...
Can't believe I'm here... I was riding to work yesterday. There was this red Chevy Blazer in front of me that put turned on its right turn signal and started to turn. I sped up to go around and the front end of the Blazer whipped back and smacked the back right side of my previously perfect...
Went for a ride today to the 'bacco store.
Was riding on a back road to avoid traffic.
Bike coming at me,exchanged how-dos(wave).
Got passed him and thought,
Was that what I think it was?
Turned around, went back to where I saw him turn in.
Flat black,nicely done rattle can...
.....and it's back to XT's! I love them.....had a lot of them over the years!
The Fazer was a great bike....but in the environment that I live, a big trailie is by far the best option.
Finding a good XT600 isn't easy these days....they were killed off by EU emissions regulations back in...
And just like that, I’m back from my fourth cross country motorcycle trip (Act I, Act II, Act III). There were three of us on the trip this year. I still have my trusty FZ6, and I crossed over the 50,000 mile mark somewhere out West. Brooks downgraded to a Triumph Speed Triple (his dream...
Hi all, I have a 2004 Yamaha FZ6 for sale. Currently at 19,5xx miles with a clean title, I'm the third owner. The bike's mechanically sound - I've performed oil changes every 2-3K miles, and I installed a set of new spark plugs earlier this year.
This is a great bike and I've had a ton of...
