After 2 weeks of not being allowed to ride (hernia operation), I'm starting to get withdrawl symptoms :(
(The only other time I went this long was when I was away on holiday)
luckily I'll be back on the road tomorrow
I still have to be careful moving my bike onto the road, but I'll...

Yesterday I managed to take care of a troublesome errand and to visit a road that I've been meaning to try out. I live in Parkersburg WV near the western end of the state and needed to get funds to a Bank of America and the closest one was Harrisonburg, VA. This was for my daughter's rent in San...
I figured I should post a few pics from our latest trip since I got lazy and didn't post any from the previous trip :/ (Mesa Verde) anyway........
We meet up with a couple of members from our sister FZ1 site and rode around the Ouray area, via a few mountain passes along the way.

So we did it. 4 days, 1411 miles. It was exhausting, but we had a blast! Found some good roads. Unfortunately, it seems like in Oregon you have to pay a penance of long boring roads to get to the good roads, but it is worth it when you get there.
Here goes...
We left Reno Thursday...

Hello all,
Anybody have a recommendation on a tank bag for a 2007 FZ6? Magnetic vs Not? Size considerations? Looking to do a trip in the next few weeks and don't know much about tank bags.
I live near a toll road and use an EZ Pass unit. I heard that you can use this on a tank bag...
This post is to show only a little of places I went on my motorcycles, with time I think it should be cool to post complete translations of the posts that are on my blog but that takes way too much time.
Let's start...
1st - 2009, a ride into Douro (from Porto almost until Régua), crossing...
Learned my lesson today. After a beautiful ride in, I was exiting from the interstate and to my surprise, they had finished paving the 2nd half of the two-lane/one-way road that I travel on for about a mile to work (yesterday it was torn-up and grooved). Naturally, road markings are limited...
I was traveling home on the highway when I became increasingly aware of the need for a pee.
I was waiting for a rest stop but they stubbornly refused to appear around each successive bend in the road, and meanwhile every bump became gradually more and more painful...
I pulled off at the...
Hi all!!
I user to be on this forum a couple of year back but the combination of having our first baby, buying a place and switching jobs all within a year meant that the Fazer (and the forum visits) stopped cold.
First things first... I am sure this site was called fz6-forums... what the...
I was on my way to work a few days ago, riding my normal route. There's a few miles of hillside road that I usually run through on the way to work. Just got done changing my fork springs a couple days before and enjoying the increased front end response.
As I exited the last turn of the...
So, I begged and pleaded (not really) and got my way. We packed up the bikes in our cargo trailer and trailered them to Napa, CA from Reno, NV (Donner Summit is always dicey in the winter). I really wanted to try out my new 2-piece leathers for the track that I got for Christmas. It was 16...
At the beginning of this month a Dutch motorcyclist won € 4217 (75% of his claim) after a crash in Sweden, after using video to prove that there were no appropriate signs on the road, warning of loose gravel or road works.
Here's the story
Luckily the guy was a member of the Dutch MAG...
So I would like to uninstall the factory nail magnets. I was unable to find the magnet locations in my owners or service manual.
Sunday on my ride, I picked up a brad nail. Today I picked up a roofing nail that took the bike off the road until the weekend.
Thinking Michelin Pilot Road...
Good ole Mulholland.. how is this road not being constantly watched by cops? No way they'd let riders do this over and over on any road in NJ.. especially since it's such a well known spot.
Anyway.. quite a bit of very skilled corner shredders in this one

Yesterday was an exceptionally beautiful day for October...I think we set a record high. So having the day off, John & I decided to pull out the dirt bikes and check out Rampart Range Rd. since they just re-opened it.
When we bought the dirt bikes, our plan was tho go up to RRR because the...
I took and passed the MSF BRC Sept 09' and have been practicing what they preach ever since. 35K miles with very few "close calls".
Today on my way home from work, a 30mi route through WV mountain road. I had a "close call" with 4 deer.
While riding I do SEE constantly! To the point that I...
When it comes time to replace my fz6 (hopefully) a few years down the road. The FJ-09 will most certainly be a great candidate!!
