Bike won't start?

Hi I have a 04 low mileage fz6
On the way home tonight it spluttered to a halt.
The lights are all on, dash and front, but when I push the starter nothing happens. Nothing.
I have tried to bump start but it tries but will not take.
Checked fuses, all ok.
No error codes on dash. Nothing unusual.
Except it won't start.
Any ideas?

The kill switch may have been knocked to the off position inadvertently?

Kick stand switch or kick stand is hanging and not all the way up?

I have used forums before but never to receive such usefull, speedy, pleasant advise.
Many thanks to the above as I have solved my problem and saved myself the hassle of transporting a dead bike and the cost of having a mechanic look at it.
Up and running in 5 min after bypassing the switch.
