Shoot, that's how everyone looks riding from the beach out here. We all know eating pavement hurts, but the guys that ride like that, 99% of the time don't go over 20mph or go further than 5 blocks. Guys within 5 blocks of the beach with full gear aren't swimming. Ever try getting sand out of all your gear?

I'm just saying, your squid-dar needs to be calibrated to shut off within 2 miles of the beach. lol.

Personally though, when I hit the beach it's with the family. So we take the van.

third worry: What happens when I crash wearing no shoes?

That aint no surf board. That appears to be a wake board (pulled behind a boat)

Looks like too much hassle plus riding with sandals? No thanks

I would take the van too then ride the right roads with the right gear.

But can you imagine hitting the freeway with the board on your back. You would probably lift off on the on ramp. :D

I was in the same area last week! I recognized the Seaside shops in your pics. Seaside and all the surrounding beaches are beautiful! The whole time I was down there I was wishing I could have my bike with me. (But I didn't see these guys....)
