It doesn't do it in the parking lot, but does when you're on the road at a stop- it's not the bike, it's you then. However, making sure the bike is well adjusted and lubed can help.
I wouldn't recommend modifying the bike right away. They're perfectly ridable from the factory with the right adjustments.
- Make sure you're clutch engagement is well adjusted
- Don't be afraid to try different settings
- Make sure the clutch cable is well lubed
- As a new rider the muscle memory won't be there to help with the smoothness but you'll get there as we all have
- Make sure you have 1-2mm of play in the throttle cable
