Does anyone else find that the stock fz6 bars are too narrow?!?

I thought i would get use to them, but maybe i just need to get wider bars. I always find myself with my hand on the bar ends because the bars are too narrow. Anyone else have this problem?

Any good suggestions of wider bars? :thumbup:

The width never bothered me but the angle they put my wrist at did. I put ProTaper bars on and that took care of the angle, they are also wider. I trimmed about 3/4''s off.

which style on the protapers did you use?

I had a pair on my quad and i loved them...they were the fat bars.

Any clearance issues?

I forget which model. I have no clearence problems I run naked.
I did have them on with the fairing for a little bit, at full turn your hand was pretty close to the fairing.

I had the same problem, slightly narrow but far too angled, after an hour or so I was suffering. I just changed mine for these http://www.mandp.co.uk/productinfo/...s/Universal-bars/Renntec/Steel-Superbike-Bars
just getting used to them, not sure if they are slightly to wide, even after I tok an inch off each side.

These were the ProTaper bars I had on my bike. They came close to the fairing at full lock but I could still use the handlebar lock. They did cause the destruction of my fairing in my wreck though.



They were too wide and straight for me so I swapped them out for the FZ1 bars
