We had a couple of weeks of great weather (mid 70's, sunny) late April and early May, and now it's raining, windy and cold. What's up with that? No biggie, nothing rain gear can't take care of, but it's a bummer to have this in mid-May!!

It's funny though going from seeing tons of bikes on the road to seeing zero. Seriously everyone disappeared and grabbed their cars when the clouds came in. That's California for ya though.

I would have ridden today but with 100% chance of "Strong storms and large hail" I decided against it.. It was raining so hard 10 minutes ago that visibility was less than 1/4 mile. :(

maybe tomorrow.

A high of 48 today, showers/downpours off & on through Sunday, riding to work every day:BLAA: Getting better rain riding skills for sure...

We got rain down here this morning. This is weird weather for this time of year!

I wouldn't complain... Our whole Spring (Southern Ontario) so far has been absolute complete write off... The worst I have seen since I started in construction 25 years ago... Rain is the norm, not the exception... Cold and rainy continuely since March... I can count on one hand so far the # of days that were nice enough for relatively comfortable ride... This spell of bad weather sees (where I live) us on the 4th rainy cold day in a row...:(

Moving to Florida... Mostly populated by Canadians now anyway;)

You saw 70's?! Lucky you! between work and home, I saw about mid-60's at best, and it's been windy as heck at some point everyday on my commute(usually 280). Still ride-able though. This rain is quite annoying though. Looks like more rain in the forecast next week too! Pissing me off, as the moto saves me tons of gas money in the summer. The freaky weather is also confusing the animals, as I've seen a big return of deer on the roads. They think it's winter again, apparently. And yes, I'm one of those that grabs my car in the rain. Riding in the rain is a pain in the arse! I can't see crap between the face shield getting rained on, and then the inside of it fogging up, and then my glasses fogging up. Triple blindness FTL. No good in the mornings on the dark-ish mountain roads. Plus people around here become extra-retarded in their driving. Not doing it. lol

I'm just hoping hoping for the morning temps to scrape above 50 sometime before summer ends, rain or not. Tired of riding to work in fog, and 40F(or lower) temps. lol

Really? I thought you worked by where I work (Mountain View). A couple of weeks ago it poked up into the low 80s for a day or two, and was even warmer in San Jose where I live.

You're right, it's a matter of perspective. I'm complaining that my nice Spring was interrupted, but at least I still get to ride. That stinks (for riding and for your business) that Spring still hasn't happened at all.

The days have been gorgeous here in sunny Qld  But I have noticed that riding home of a night in the single digit temps that im usually the only bike on the road ...... Harden up QLD

The one thing that bothers me about the rain is that I'm basically blind. I can't see anything through my helmet.

Actually my next door neighbors are Canadians here in SW Florida.. :) Low 80's here, little bit of a breeze, just some more twisties would be nice...

I'm not too far away. I work in Santa Clara(barely, closer to Sunnyvale), and it's always windy and cool. There were a few days of near 70F, but it's usually pretty cool when I get off work. Once I'm on 280, the temperature just plumets the closer I get to home. lol Like yesterday, it went from 70F and sunny(by work), to overcast and 52F by the time I hit the home stretch of Creek Road. I do somewhat miss SJ, just because of the almost never ending riding weather there.
