When I went on my first overseas business trip in 1990, to Frankfurt, my boss was teasing my wife for weeks beforehand about taking me to the red light district aka Kaiserstrasse. He told her "there's no such thing as a married man a hundred miles from home" LOL.

Sure enough we went and had a look around and saw some sights  but returned with our virtue, health and conscience intact.

The following year my wife and I were both in Frankfurt and I took her up Kaiserstrasse on a Saturday afternoon. It is a pedestrian street with lots of shops and no sign of any dens of iniquity (they are all up side streets). When I pointed out which street we had just walked she looked around wildly and was very disappointed!
