I'm sure many of you know whats this is about since this is the third and final thread on an accident i got into entering Walmart on 6/30/2015, but i'll sum it up real quick.

Basically following an SUV into Walmart, guy gets right no blinker once we enter the parking lot. I stay where i'm at same speed going straight, he instead of going right pulls a u-turn blocking my path, i tried to avoid with a hard left but still got whacked. At first his insurance claimed 50/50 liability not willing to pay me anything even though he got a careless driving ticket. Months go by he gets convicted in court of the ticket since he tried to fight it. Insurance company calls me willing to cover 60% of my losses. I have my lawyer call them back trying to get 80-100% they settle on 75% fault on their behalf. Better than nothing... I'm thinking I'll take some sort of loss at the end of this.

Now here's the great part, They valued my 2007 red fz6 with 15,000 miles and a self debaffled muffler for 4700!!! I payed 3250 for her at 8000 miles.. Even better the buy back was 700 dollars for my perfectly running bike.. All said and done i get 3100 and get to keep my bike, but i have to turn it into a salvaged title. I'm already waiting for it in the mail, cant ride til i get the salvaged and get it inspected.

I think i'll pass the inspection without having to do anything. All lights work and no check engine or anything. She drives straight forks are good, just a dent in the gas tank and the frame damage doesn't affect anything.

I'm glad that you're unhurt and more or less happy with the settlement. Sadly I must admit that I'd still be peeved at the idiot in the SUV.

Happy to hear the insurance Co. came through.....that $800 will buy a really nice lid!
I just bought an Arai Tropic Frost Helmet, retails for $675.
now the good part...found it over on AdvRider, worn once, paid $370 for it!

Sounds like you got a good deal out of it all  might be worth waiting a couple of months to get that new gear (if you don't ride in the winter), around where I live the bike shops often have sales in the winter, not uncommon to get 20% off clothing and helmets.

75%of everything is what they cover so, 4700-700=4000 x .75 = 3000

I'm lucky i'm getting 800 for gear and 1000 for personal injury on top so im walking away with 4800 and a salvaged title for my fz6.

Hi.

Felt thick upset while I read your unfair encounter, but glad to know you're still fine at least.

Now your best choice is the patience until issue must be resolve conveniently.

Keep it on warm for your particular 'Saul'.
