I'm having withdrawl syptoms

After 2 weeks of not being allowed to ride (hernia operation), I'm starting to get withdrawl symptoms
(The only other time I went this long was when I was away on holiday)


luckily I'll be back on the road tomorrow :rockon:

I still have to be careful moving my bike onto the road, but I'll be fine riding :thumbup:

I know what you mean about the withdrawal. I find it difficult to go a couple of days without a ride. Luck enough here to be able to ride most days all year round, so I shouldn't complain too much.

Hope you heal up quick, enjoy the ride, but don't overdo it!

Yeah I had a belly button Hernia, it's not that bad now but I'm just not allowed to lift or push & pull on things in case it bursts the internal stitching.

The doc made me a new belly button so that I would look anatomically correct...
I've got 11 staples in there and when ever I get x-rayed I get questioned.

Yeah I've got a new belly button, I've now got an inny (as opposed to an outy )They used soluble stitching with mine, both on the outside as on the inside (so my "bits" don't protude out any more ) but because of this it can still break if I use my stomach muscles (too much) until it's all healed up. I asked them to put a few extra stitches in to give me a six pack effect, but they didn't

Hope you're back in the saddle, Martin! I definitely know what it's like to be forced to give up your favorite activities (was in a case for 3 months at one point.. nevermind the long PT afterwards).
It's an amazing feeling to get back to it though!

Thanks guys, I'm back in the saddle and everything has healed up great. I'm organising a ride on Sunday and the weathers looking great (for November :cheer I'm looking forward to it :thumbup: so I don't feel sorry for myself anymore :rockon:

Glad you're back in the saddle mate, I know how long a few weeks off the bike can feel.. The mighty armchair (XJR1300) has been off the road for the last 3 weeks & the parts are finally on the way !!

I hate it when a weekend goes by and I dont get to ride at least once, even if its just a chain warm up pre lube.

Having to wait for parts sucks I have had that only once or twice, the worst was drop off Wednesday Pick up Friday- I hated the train commute. I guess an enforced "rest up" is a bit different and I hope I don't have to go through it.
