I talked some of my fellow SoCal Hoons into a ride up to Cuyamaca and Laguna Mtn today. I am so lucky to have such awesome brothers in: "Iron-Butt" Jerry, Nick & Goop. I got home first! And am having a cold beer...

Highlights:
  • Easy going meet up in Santa Ysabel - with all the bikes out today it's amazing we had the pie shop to ourselves.
  • Fresh pavement (yessss) on 79 around Cuyamaca - and super polite drivers!
  • Sunrise Hwy - we seem to have started something at the lookout. There was one car when we got there and when we left 3 separate motorcycle groups and multiple cages.
  • Went easy through the burned areas - nice call Nick.
  • Lunch at Santa Ysabel Casino - bye Jerry
  • Old Julian Hwy - good as ever

Thanks again for a nice lazy (for the most part) Sunday ride. :iconbeer:

What no pics?!?!? I think it should be a rule to post pics, especially for those of us who haven't been able to ride much this year :(

OMG you were reading my mind! I didn't take any, but the guys did. Hopefully you'll see it was a beautiful day. Our route took us through an area where there was a big brush fire last week. Crews were still out there today checking hot spots.

Okay...be very careful about that mind reading thing...my thoughts can be rather wild at times!

Just got home a beer ago, was HOT through Hemet, felt like a blast furnace, I'm melting.
Nice ride and the 79 by Cuyamaca is a nice road with lots of scenery. To bad about the burnt areas but the firefighters seem to have the upper hand.
Here are a few pictures and as soon as I can put all the video clips together I will post.
