Made a standard windscreen out of a Puig screen. Cut 3 inches off. Pics

I got tired of how big the Puig racing screen looked. I like the double bubble design and just thought it did not look good because it was to tall. So I cut 3 inches off of it.

That actually looks really good. Did you mark a line and use a dremel or what? Also, hows the wind? Smoother or more turbulant?

Thanks. I marked it off and used a air grinder with a cut off wheel. A dremmel would be prefect. The cut does not have to be exact. The sanding does. I used a palm sander and just got it all even. Its pretty easy to do. You just have to be carfull. I also used a file to get the bigger stuff I wanted to sand down.

I got my powerbronze off of ebay(just type fz6 under motorcycle accessories).The name of the store is The Superbike Store LLC. It is the same height as stock.

I'm glad to see this post. I've been wanting to do the same thing. The Puig racing screen has made a surprisingly big difference in air turbulence but I have always liked the look of the shorter stock screen a lot better. My question is how much of the benefit (in terms of air turbulence) do you lose by cutting it off? Is it still significantly better than the stock at this point? I don't want to do it if I'm going to lose all of the benefit I gained by buying the Puig in the first place.

Thanks. The wind is right where I want it. It is better than stock probably because of the double bubble design it seems to sit more straight up than the stock one. Don't get me wrong I wanted to do this for some time now.I never cared how tall the screen was. So I do not want anyone to mess up there windscreen if they do not like the results.
