Michelin Pilot Road 6

I’ve read lots of older discussion here on the earlier 4’s and 5’s with very good reviews, but what about the 6’s? Anyone have any realtime feedback of these on the FZ6?

I’m due new tyres (Tires) and these are what I’m considering but would love some feedback on them. I commute quite regularly on my bike, but also get out into the twisties whenever I can

Funny thing about tire reviews…the new tires will always be better than the old tires (worn tires tend to be flat in the center which require additional effort to initiate a turn and then a quick correction as they roll past the threshold onto the original side profile).

I’m always more interested in the profile of the tire (for turn in and holding a line) and feedback. While tire wear, wet/dry grip and ride comfort certainly are important I tend to want to make sure that the tire works with my style of riding.

I’ve not ridden the PR series, but from what I can see I think that the profile would meet my needs. If they communicate well they are probably an excellent long-wear tire.

Well I’ve done the first 100km’s on the Road 6’s and can only compliment them so far. The bike feels nice and smooth and very sure footed, albeit at city speeds so far. Getting through the scrub in process before I put them a bit through their paces out and about.

I have used 2 sets of 4's and 3 sets of 5's on 2 of my bikes. Ive 5k km on a set of 6's and can honestly say they are wearing better than previous tyres. The wet weather grip is as good, I've never had a slide on the any Michelin tyre so I think they are grippirler than I will ever need. They do grip all the way to the edge though. I ride all year round here in Ireland. Plenty of twisty roads here and they are an impressive tyre in any situation.
