moto slang

thx ;)

can You tell me how should I use this expressions in the sentence [if I am a passenger] :

I am 2 up? or I was doing 2up?

and

I am a bitch riding?

M.

If I was a passenger I would say: "I was riding bitch" or "I was 2up"
If I was the operator and someone was on the back I could also say: "I was 2up"

"I was riding bitch and when he hit that bump I flew off the back"
"I was riding 2up and when he hit that bump I flew off the back"
"I was riding 2up and when I hit that bump that bitch flew off the back"

Interesting. We don't use "riding bitch", I think that is an awful term.

I as rider would say "I am/was riding 2 up" and the passenger would say I was/am riding pillion" or "I was/am riding on the back". I have never heard a passenger refer to themselves as riding 2 up.

I agree. Pillion isn't a common term in the US either. Most people say two up or riding with a passenger on back.

we say about passenger "plecak"
direct translation into English is: rucksack, backpack
and riding on the back: "plecakuje"
it can't be translated.... it will be rucksaking ... such word doesn't exisist in English
in Polish too, but riders say like that

That would depend on the speed, -

What a weird place to park : He's riding to slow
He's flying low today: He's riding it to fast

No general term for riding a bike comes to mind ......
A few terms used in the UK, "Going like the clappers" "Like 5hit off a stick"

We often say about a passenger "the second number" in Russia.
Rarely someone says "nadjopnik", it's too hard to translate)), but I'll try, it can be translate like "a man who sits on your ass".

REALLY!? That is interesting! I wonder if that got started by someone misunderstanding someone speaking english since they are so close in english. Crutch rocket doesn't even make sense to me. Crotch rocket is used because you are sitting on your crotch, and the "rice rocket" is shooting from your crotch.

How is a crutch involved?

I think crutch rocket is a derogatory term. It means as sexy, shiny, fast bike is being used as a crutch to prop up someone's self esteem or ego or to compensate for certain anatomical deficiencies.

Search online and found this, it's an A to Z of "Biker Dictionary":
One that sticks to mind is "ape hangers" which is "A type of handlebars which due to its shape raises the rider's hands above his or her shoulders giving the impression the arms are ‘hanging’. The overall look gives the impression of an ape hanging in a tree. Also referred to as ‘Apes’".

Also called "monkey bars."

It's moreso said in fun, or jokingly. Such as when myself and two friends go to get into a regular cab pickup, the controversy is always over who is going to "ride bitch" or sit in the middle, where the transmission hump makes you sit sideways with your feet in the passenger's footwell, which can be very uncomfortable. It is never calling someone a name.

OK let's see how many I can bang out here !

Organ donor = A motorcyclist that is not wearing a helmet
