Sweet video in the link!

What does racing to the clouds look like on a Ducati Multistrada? Well it looks a little bit like this if you’re Greg Tracy. At the helm of one of the 2010 Ducati Multistrada racing at the 2010 Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, Tracy is looking in-form for the event after this practice session. Also spotted in the video is Team Spider Grips Ducati teammate Alexander Smith, who Tracy catches about a minute into the video.

For those not familiar with the event, it’s a timed and staggered race up the 12.43 mile road to the top of Pikes Peak. During the 156 turn course, riders and drivers must contend not only with paved and dirt roads, but as you’ll see in the video, there are a number of sheer cliffs with no guard-rails. Ducati used the venue a couple years ago to promote the Hypermotard when it came out, which was also raced by Team Spider Grips Ducati.

We caught a glimpse of the decked out Multistrada 1200S’s that Tracy and Smith will be racing in the event, and they look hot! We’re still really hoping Ducati North America puts together a Pikes Peak Edition of this bike, with the Ducati Corse paint scheme, race tail, and chopped windscreen. Num num num!

I test rode a demo bike of last years 1100 model on Wednesday, and I would love to get my hands on the new 1200. They had a red one that just came in that day but it was already sold so I didn't get too close. When I rode the 1100 I was like man this bike is awesome, now for them to just make it look good, which is exactly what they did with the new 1200.
