My First naked bike FZ6(from NYC/NJ)

Hey everyone.
I just picked up a 2009 FZ6 with 800 miles on it.

I used to ride R6, CBRF4i w/ full exhaust systetm, pc3 from 2002-2006, put about a total of 9000 miles, then crashed it.
After 6 years, finally convinced my wife, and settled with FZ6.
I hope to pick up some knowledge from the forum.

One question, back then in NYS I was allowed to keep the plates in
The winter time and cancelled the insurance, is it still the same?

Hello and welcome. Where are you located in NYC? Maybe hook up for a ride some time? we do group rides from time to time usually up to bear mountain and have hooked up with Erci and the boys from Jersey for a great time (lots and lots of forum members)

With regard to DMV rule - not sure if they will let you keep plates so sorry can't
be much help there

Sure thing, I am in Queens, New York. I and all of my friends were used to insure the bike during April to September to save some money in the winter time when the bike is in the garage. Back then I was young, couldn't afford the whole insurance. Lol.

Yes you can keep your plates without insurance. Queens here as well.
