Just checking in. Currently own an 83 V45 Magna - looking to upgrade soon probably to an FZ6 if not an FZ1.

I would be interested to see how they relate, the FZ6 may not seem like much of a bike but she can be very deceiving. The FZ1 is a big step up from the 6 in many ways.
I would suggest to take them for a test ride just to see how they fit you and how they make you feel when your riding around. I own both and started out with the 6 which may have been to big of a bike for me to start out on. I'm glad I waited a few years to make the move to the 1, I wouldn't have been ready for it otherwise.

I love those V-motors!! While FZ6 is light years faster than your Magna, I think you'll miss the low-end torque.
As Wh0M3 said, definitely test-ride both before committing to either one!
