I've been at this since last fall. I had gotten some deep scratches in the top of the tank. Last November I stripped off all of the paint on the tank and prepped the plastics. by the time I felt ready to paint the deep freeze came and took a long time to leave, My first attempt in May 2015 I made lots of novice mistakes so I ended up doing this over. I am happy now to show the result

This is House of Kolor Midnight Blue Pearl with Southern Polyurethane clear coat - 6 coats.
I have some slight imperfections to sand out and buff but for the most part it looks good as is.

Time for another month of Autumn riding

It was getting dark out so here are just 2 shots for now

^^ Good Job!!! Tanks looks great from here!

Perhaps this winter do the forks, triple, and rear sets to match (or black?)?

This project took way more out of me than I thought it would. But I did get lots of practice using BC/CC which is good. I will proabaly not do much else to the bike for awhile

I actually have a 1968 Firebird convertible I have started working on. I will be busy working on this car over the winter. I've had this one since 1988. It's time. It hasn't looked good since the late 90's
