New/Used FZ6 Owner - Oregon

Hello all,

I just recently purchased a 2005 FZ6 used from a private party. This is my first bike and I am glad I decided to get such a sweet ride instead of some ninja 250... :rof:

The bike has 26k miles on it at this time, the previous owner was the original owner and used it for commuting to work almost every day.

I am wondering what peoples opinions on a valve adjustment are. I asked him and he stated that the service period for that had just come up so he had never had them adjusted. The bike itself runs beautifully and I am not sure if an adjustment is really needed.

Any thoughts on this?

I love my bike though. I have had it all of 9 days and put about 600 miles on it. The weather has been TOO good not to.
