rear sets

i have been looking for some rearsets that will fit my 2007. i can only find 04-06. if anyone nkows where i can find some for my 07 and i dont want to mod my shifter link, like how people do with the os2k. so if any one knows where i can buy some for my 2007 please let me know.

Purchased Rizomas from PJs Parts for my 07. Not cheap though. If Oso had his mod available back then I would have gone that route.

There is no difference that I am aware of. I think it is like other items such as an exhaust, they list the earlier bikes but will fit the newer ones too.

now i cant make up my mind between the Rizoma or Gilles. if i am going to spen that type of money want to get the best, but they both look real good. if i get some then i can start making them like the foot pegs.

Really like the Rizoma's. They are more adjustable than Gilles. You can adjust the toe pegs in addition to the whole rearset. I think the best band for the buck are the ValterMotos. Really any of those three are very well made.

I like my OSO2K setbacks for the street. I'll let you know Friday night after I get back from the track how they worked there. I think they will be fine. I did buy a new stock shift rod, just in case. Nothing personal Louis, I just want to have a back up plan at the track. :thumbup:

luckyirishboy209: I believe I have sold a set to an 08 rider. And if you look at hellgate/mattcosta7/afrpreppie's install guides, the shifter modding is minimal. The shift rod can be replaced fairly inexpensively and would be the only part that would need to be replaced if you wanted to take the bike to stock. Poutanen has also worked up a way to used a longer shift rod with a slave shifter joint, but it requires a bit more work than the hellgate/mattcosta7/afrpreppie technique.

your plats are a very good idea, but i wanted somthing more adjustable and i can still have my shift linkeg hidden behind my frame. i like the idea of being able to adjust my feet position for whatever riding i am going to do, strret,track,twistys,longrides,ect. i am looking at a way to machine some adjustables. and see if i can save tons of money, i have already made the foot pegs and plats that can be adjusted, but an trying to find a way to make the shift rod work with all of the differnt settings.

If it helps, I have a set for my 08... I'll try to get them installed over the holidays. Just not sure which holiday... oso2ks' service could not be better! :cheer:
