Went to replace the plugs this afternoon and found this anomaly in cylinder 4. It looks like the original spark plug has come apart and unthreaded itself inside the spark plug wire. I've attempted to put the plug back together by threading the two pieces back together to no avail. Any other tricks here or is it time to buy new wires? How the heck did this happen anyway?

No worries, it happens alot. At least you didn't try digging at the spark plug wires with needle noise pliers trying to get the threaded cap out...

...right?

Not quite, though I probably would have if I had pliers that reached. I did unscrew the terminal from the wire, however, and put it back together. Got all of them in and hooked back up, then went for a ride. Might be placebo, but it does seem to run smoother. I had a little over 17k on the originals.
