Stock Air Filter

I've done a search and can't find the answer to a question I have. Is the stock air filter a wash, rinse, lube and use again filter? It looks like one, but I am not sure. I'd hate to throw it out if it is. I know the manual says "replace" but it sure looks like a reusable filter.

you replace it. i understand it is possible to clean them but not idea and to have your machine breathing right is worth a few $'s

New one installed, I just didn't want to throw out the old one if it is reusable.

Save it as an emergency spare? I always like to keep at least one extra on hand... Maybe I'm paranoid?

The owners manual manual [LIT-11626-20-60] states under a note:

Air filter
• This model’s air filter is equipped with a disposable oil-coated paper element, which must not be cleaned with compressed air to avoid damaging it.
• The air filter element needs to be replaced more frequently when riding in unusually wet or dusty areas.

Like the others have suggested, I would assume your owners manual states the same - replace it.

try to get the K&N filter, you will never have to replace agian

put it in the dishwasher for a couple cycles, then microwave it until dry. you should be good to go.
