tomorrow is my 2 month anniversary of owning my R1. I should be posting this then but, oh well. there has only been 4 days that I haven't taken the bike out. I was lucky enough to catch a storm one day and got to ride in the rain for about 50 miles, so right now it's dirty. the mileage has increased since break in and I now average about 38 MPG riding reserved. it also feels more peppy now. I've got swing arm spools ordered they should be here next week, just in time for my first tire replacement 
, really I'm happy with the tire life, the most I ever managed to get out of a set on my FZ6 was 4500 miles. I plan a on keeping the Michelins on it, but I'm not sure if I'll go with the OEM or off the shelf rubber. not sure what the difference is but they have a different part number. so far the cost of ownership is $714.00 not including fuel.:thumbup:
