I'm employed as a District Manager for a Japanese car company, who I've been with since 1989.
Prior to that I worked from '72 to '89 as an Automotive Technician (Specializing in Volvo's and Subaru's).

I'm taking it easy after many years of hard graft(work).

The dream comes true. :Flash:

I'm a mechanical engineer by training and qualification. Somehow I got into computers before Mr Gates knew what multi-tasking was, and have looked after some interesting systems and services mainly based around Oracle RDBMS and UNIX.

I sell lasers, optical components and modules.

Do for a living? I'm the glue that keeps this freakin' household of 3 women together running like a smoothly oiled machine 24/7...., it's not easy:rolleyes:.

For some down time I engineer electrically.:D

Wow!! I am really impressed by the multifaceted professions you talented and daring peeps hold. I work in a Community College in a Teaching Learning Center, I.T. work. Mostly computer and network support, technology training, multimedia or whatever else is thrown in my way. So in a way I solve a lot of operator-error problems ;-) For a living on the other hand, i like to ride my new FZ6, watch a good movie, eat fine food, read a good book, play a good game, laugh, travel (when money and time allow) and now I am planning on returning to the Judo practice at the dojo nearby my workplace. OOOOOOOOoooos!

I am a technical arts director for a Church. In other words, I get to play with all the buttons that make things louder and make the lights flash. It's fun get to free lance every now and then and run sound for different bands that come in to the area. Hopefully, if everything goes to plan on Saturday I will be a technical arts director the rides an FZ6

don't know why this thread popped up when I searched for info on the JC Whitney top case...
anyways, I'm an obstetrician/gynecologist and I am doing a fellowship in Maternal Fetal Medicine (high risk obstetrics).

Never visited this thread but glad you found it Dani. Interesting to know what people do.

I am a Server/Storage Enginner for a wholesale energy company. I run two data centers and 26 remote locations. HP and EMC shop and we're doing server consolidation at the moment using HP blade systems and VMWare. Cool stuff! I get paid to play with the latest technology! :D

Yeah, thanks for digging this up Dani!

I'm a biomaterials scientist. I develop materials that are used in medical devices and make sure they're biocompatible, strong, durable, etc. I spent several years developing bone void fillers, but currently I'm developing a device that facilitates the joining of two "non-conjoined" vessels via a biomaterial.

Im a student in my 2nd year of uni studying English Language & Linguistics. Im currently captain of York Uni lacrosse squad and work work part time as a support worker for individuals with learning difficulties. Im actually employed by 3 charities: Choice Support, Scope and United Response. The reason being that im employed as a "relief" worker so i get complete freedom to choose my shifts or if i want to do any at all, but am not guaranteed to have any if want them. The fact I study up north and have have my family home down south requires me to be very flexible with my work patterns. I love my job and would really like to stay involved hands on, but it doesn't pay as well as Id hope, particularly being a graduate...
Currently scouting out what i want to be in the future and considering MI5 or the police force on a graduate scheme. Checking my timetable at the moment to see if ill have enough free time to be a volunteer policeman to decorate my CV with, if anyone works for the UK Police force, guidance or help is always welcome...

High school students who are sent out of class for disciplinary problems are sent to my room until the period ends. Some camp in my room the whole day (an alternative to home suspension). Not everybody makes it in my room as it's the "end of the road." Usually, students that I eject end up in even more trouble and are sent home on suspension. I also run after school detention and Saturday School. I don't "teach" in this capacity, act more as a "jailer" or "babysitter." I assume the role of teacher during the summer session (5 weeks).
