Just before my 23rd birthday I bought a 1985 Yamaha Maxim 750X, bought it before I drove a bike before. Two years later I have my FZ6 which I plan to keep for a while. Partly because I am up to 35% of the cost of the bike in mods now. Mostly because it is just plan Awesome.

1960 something Honda Dream, bought with an unanticipated $300 USAF uniform allowance. Learned to ride on it and then bought a brand new 1964 Triumph Bonneville. Great bike.

1985 Suzuki GS700E

Mine was blue and kind of ratty, but ran great and treated me well for the year I had it. It also had the funkiest brakes and forks I've ever seen, which brake fluid being pumped to some gadgets on the fork lowers to stiffen the forks when you hit the front brakes.

My first bike was a 1993 yamaha seca II.Fun Bike, it was pretty Quick, handled well and easy to ride. I rode it for 3 months put about 3k miles on it then someone offered me more than I paid for it. So I sold it and bought my 2007 FZ6 in uberfast blue.

SV650, although it wasn't really mine. It belonged to a riding buddy of mine. Since he has two bikes, he let me ride his bike during the summer until I finally purchased my FZ6, which is my first bike.
I am looking at the FJR for an upgrade or if my missus lets me..... second bike in the garage as an alternate.:D

The first bike I ever owned and drove was my FZ6... I taught myself 3 weeks before my MSF course after it was delivered to my house.

Not the smartest thing to do.. but luckily it has been right side up since purchased.. knock on wood.

My first motorized two wheeler (not sure I'd call it a motorcycle) Was a mid 60's Montgomery-Ward Moped. This photo is courtesy of Google but other than the flat tire, it is just about exactly what mine looked like. It was given to me so there were no complaint from me and I probably spent all winter cleaning it up so it was ready for a maiden voyage on my grandpa's farm in the spring.

My first real motorcycle was a '64 250 Bultaco. I am pretty sure I spent more time being towed or pushing it than riding it under power. When it did run it was screamer! (again, photo is courtesy of some Googling and this one looked much better than mine)
